kuch bhogal

Kuch Bhogal is an interdisciplinary artist and creative practitioner who blends everyday experiences with artistic expression to uncover new perspectives and meanings. His journey into the arts began alongside his medical training, where he self-taught the fundamentals of music and later pursued formal studies in writing, music production, drawing, and painting.

Kuch’s work centers on practice-based autoethnography, drawing inspiration from seemingly ordinary photos, recordings, and moments collected from his daily life. Through this process, he transforms fleeting instances of beauty or delicacy into tangible objects that invite dialogue and reflection. These creations often hold more resonance for him than words alone, serving as tools for inquiry, connection, and healing. Whether intimate and serious or lighthearted and playful, his work consistently seeks to make sense of complex or challenging experiences.

With deep fluency in institutional language, Kuch consciously chooses when to use or step away from it, mindful of how it can sometimes alienate or obscure meaning. He embraces a dynamic approach to communication, allowing his use of language to evolve in alignment with his artistic and personal explorations.

In addition to his creative practice, Kuch is an experienced teacher, group facilitator, and coach, contributing to the LGBTQIA+ charity sector and fostering inclusive environments. He also brings his creative expertise to web design, having built this website himself. You can follow his journey with creative technology at Winchester School of Art here
