I was born and raised in London in a Punjabi speaking household. I studied medicine at university and have had a successful career as a senior psychiatrist. I have always been creative and while working as a junior doctor I continued to make art and learn about music.

Working as a psychiatrist was a rich and rewarding job but I realised that the role was unable to satisfy my need to create. In 2017 I enrolled on a distance art degree and while working, spent 7 years completing my BA in Creative Arts with the Open College of the Arts. For my final project, I learnt how to code a website and used it to make an interdisciplinary piece grounded in my experience as a queer person with Punjabi heritage. I was very pleased to graduate with a distinction in 2024.

In 2024 I left medicine and started an MSc in Creative Technology. I am extending my creative coding skills, and am most interested in game design. My creative practice continues to be about lived experiences, mental health and masculinity and I expect to graduate in 2025.
